Makeup Review: Ever Bilena Advance Compact Powder in Natural White

A few months ago, our house got robbed and some of the things that got stolen from me were my laptop and bag. Now, I won't go into the sorry details of losing my laptop (it still breaks my heart to remember it) but I'd segue to the tidbit that my favorite powder EVER was inside that bag.

After that, I kind of waited a while to get another of that powder because I promised myself it's all I'm ever gonna use. Unfortunately, I have to travel to Davao City for that because they have the only Beauty Bar in the area.

But two weeks ago, I had a wedding to attend to and that means I needed to wear makeup. With that, it meant I needed a new face powder. Not having the time to purchase my fave face powder, I opted for this refill pack of Ever Bilena Advance powder in Natural White

This should be enough to tide me over until I am able to get to Beauty Bar.

I got the  shade in Natural White.

At first, I was unconvinced if it was the right shade for me despite having tested it several times, and getting the right match every time.

The 'white' part of the name was drilling doubts in my mind and I had to heckle the saleslady if they have another shade. I was kind of hoping she'd give me something that simply said 'natural' or even 'beige'. Anything without 'white' really was fine. No such luck, however, so I accepted the fact that the shades were just really weirdly named as such.

Because it's a refill pack, it only came with a powder puff and a thin paper as a barrier in between. And since I didn't have the full size in the first place, I didn't have the case to store it.

What I did is just keep this powder safely tucked inside my new vanity kit, hoping it won't make a mess inside. So far so good.

Trying it on, the powder leaves a matte finish, creates a natural coverage, and effectively covers most of my blemishes.

I wore it to a family dinner last week and I'm mighty loving it!

This powder is so simple and fuss-free that I won't hesitate using it even on simple days when I simply need a shine-free face.

Pros:
  • Affordable at Php140+ (refill)
  • Matte finish
  • Even and medium coverage
  • Lasts a bit longer even when it's cheaper compared to other powders
  • Fine and silky texture
Cons:
  • For its price--   none.
I'm really impressed with this powder. But while I'm happy with it, I'm still adamant to make it as a temporary  replacement, up until I'm able to get my hands on that rice powder that I really love.
